I am here today to announce the launching of our new website for “Dreams Awake.”  Obviously, since you’re here, you’ve already found it.  Not only is this the new site for our film, but I’ve also migrated my long-running blog (Indie Film Blog) here.  Those of you who have been following me there probably know I’ve been blogging on that site for over five years now (3/15/05 to be exact), about when we started developing “Dreams Awake.”  For those of you who know nothing of the previous incarnation of my blog, feel free to check out the past five years of archives to learn how we developed this project, got it shot and now are preparing it for the whole world.

So, finally, we are almost there, as the film’s release is in the works sometime later this year.  The exact date is still to be determined, and will be announced soon.  But first, while you’re waiting (I know it’s been a long time for some of you), check out everything on our new website.  For sure, watch the new trailer.  And if you’d like to get some exclusive clips from the film and get the other trailers we’re preparing, sign up on our email list (Exclusive).  I know, I know.  Another damn list to sign up for, and more stuff in your email inbox.  But guess what?  You’ll want to see this first clip we’re giving you.  It’s a clip with Erin Gray and Tim O’Connor, who are reunited in our film after having been in “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” together more than 30 years ago.  Plus, you have my word that we won’t be spamming you or giving your info to any third party.  We will only be sending you free stuff, discounts for screenings and DVD releases, and info about the film.  OK?  Try it and if you don’t want to stay, you can always opt-out.  Fair enough?

One final note.  The subject matter of the film.  I’m not sure how many of you will find it as fascinating as I do.  We delve into some metaphysical themes that aren’t everybody’s cup of tea.  I understand that.  But I’m going to take this blog in a different direction.  I am coming out of the closet, spiritually speaking if you will, and reveal to you why I made a film like this.  It will involve unraveling where my own personal spiritual journey began at an early age, the numerous trials and tribs along my path, and where it has led me up to the present – which will cover more than half a century.  Some of you may find it boorish, others intriguing, and a few fascinating.  We’ll see where it takes us, because at this point I’m not sure myself.  I will promise to try and not put you to sleep.  But I only have one question for you.  If your wake-up call was ringing, would you recognize it as such, and would you be ready for it?  (Oh well, guess that’s two questions, huh?)  (Now three–ha, I’ve heard things come in threes) …
